HOW TO JOIN



Join Our Network of Friends and Fun



Here is your chance to join 44,000 US boaters and over 100 Austin boaters in the largest
private, non-profit boating organization in the world.

MEMBERSHIP IN AUSTIN POWER SQUADRON
A unit of the United States Power Squadron


Members enjoy
friendship and camaraderie on the water and off with fellow members with a
variety of skill levels but the same passion for boating. Prospective
members should be willing to give of their time and talents and have a desire
to improve their boating skills through courses offered by USPS.

Our Purpose and Goals


  • To stimulate and increase all boaters knowledge and skills through the study of the science and art of navigation, seamanship and boat handling
  • To develop and promote instructional programs to benefit our members and the public
  • To encourage USPS members and other boaters to abide by the navigation rules and recognized boating traditions
  • and customs
  • To encourage and promoting recreational boating, uniting people who have a common love of boating into a nationwide fraternity
  • To provide a means to foster social and fraternal relationships among boaters
  • To promote, as a civic service, boating safety through education to the recreational boating community
