Ryan Chan

Physiotherapist



Ryan, together with his partner Nan, cofounded Integral Performance Physio in 2018 to establish a practice providing a high standard in comprehensive, patient-centered, and evidence-based physical rehabilitation services. Ryan is a passionate physiotherapist with over 7 years of experience in orthopedic care treating in the field of sports injuries, spinal rehab, as well as everyday aches and pains. Following extensive post-graduate training in Ontario, Ryan has attained recognition in his advanced practice as a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative physiotherapy (FCAMPT).


Ryan has developed a client-centered approach strongly focused on manual therapy and a complete biomechanical analysis to promote not only full recovery, but prevention of future injuries. Through his training in the Mckenzie and Mulligan Institutes, combined with his background as a personal trainer, Ryan has helped his patients return from injured to peak performance. Having experienced sports injuries himself and understanding the urgency and stress of recovery, Ryan has further tailored his assessment and treatment approach based on the latest optimal research evidence. Committed towards quality health promotion, Ryan provides care not only to clients with injuries, but also to those who have postural concerns or those with specific functional wellness goals.


Ryan has also taken an interest in the mentoring of other physiotherapists; Through IPP, he wishes to extend the reach of physical therapy and correct the epidemic of patients who live with pain, unaware of where to turn for their musculoskeletal needs.



NAN WU

Nan, co-founder of Integral Performance Physio, has always had the vision of innovating the rehabilitation field and integrating the best available clinical evidence into practice. Now together with her partner Ryan, she is building this rehabilitation platform to provide you an elevated quality in comprehensive musculoskeletal care.


Following the completion of her Master of Science in Physical Therapy at McGill University in 2011, Nan developed a wide array of clinical experience, from sports-related injuries (e.g. ankle sprains, concussion, ACL tear), work-related injuries (e.g. overuse and postural syndrome), post-surgical cases, to chronic complex illness (e.g. fibromylgia, Joint Hypermobility Syndrome). Nan has helped countless patients not only recover from their injuries, but also transformed their body to their best performance level. Nan believes that by integrating invaluable empowerment, awareness over the body, and biomechanical efficiency, you can achieve a long-term wellness rather than just a quick fix.


Nan has always been passionate about her profession and continues to update her knowledge. As such she has been strongly involved in continuing education. In 2017, she obtained her second Master degree in Master of Clinical Science from Western University and proudly became a fellow of Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT). She has also complemented her knowledge with different approaches such Mulligan and Mckenzie to better tailor her practice to various injuries. Furthermore, Nan has contributed to the elevation of the profession through mentoring physiotherapy students from McGill University during their clinical stages. Outside of clinic, Nan loves running, weight training, dancing and travelling.



Nina Benisty



B.Sc., D.O., CAT(C)
Osteopath, Certified Athletic Therapist



Nina started her career in healthcare as an Athletic Therapist and then further complemented her knowledge with a specialization in osteopathy. For the last eight years, she has been working as a Certified Athletic Therapist with athletes of many different levels and sports. In particular, Nina specialized and dedicated her time to football, working with the Bishop’s University Gaiters and currently with the John Abbott College Islanders. Her specialization in football has allowed her to work at a provincial level as one of the Head Therapists of Team Quebec, accompanying the team to the Football Canada Cup for the past 5 years. In 2018, Nina travelled with Team Canada to Mexico City to represent the country in the Junior World Championship.


As an Athletic Therapist working at a competitive level, Nina realized there was so much more to learn about the human body and its functions. That is why in 2012, she decided to go back to school to study Osteopathy. After six years of school, she graduated from the Centre Ostéopathique du Québec. Her newfound knowledge has pushed her abilities to the next level and has now developed a more comprehensive approach to the human body and its injuries.


Nina not only specializes in working with athletes and sport injuries, she also treats your everyday aches and pains. As an osteopath, she now also treats in pediatrics, newborn to toddlers, as well as pregnant women.


Nina is truly passionate about the human body and takes her work to heart. She believes that she will forever be a student because she cannot get enough of new knowledge! She is dedicated to her career and her patients, where their well being is her priority.



Nick athanasopoulos



Osteopath



Nick Athanasopoulos has been in the business of therapy and fitness for the past twenty years. He graduated from Concordia University with a Bachelor's of Science in Exercise Science with the specialization in Athletic Therapy.


Thereafter, he completed a diploma in Massage Therapy specializing in Sports Massage. Finally, Nick further developed his skillset through his specialization in Osteopathy.


He has worked with athletes and the general public helping individuals achieve various goals whether it be for proper every day function or in fitness. Having a passion for exercise, strength and conditioning, he spends his time exercising or enjoying the outdoors. Hockey, skiing, and cycling are close to his heart and is an outdoor enthusiast for a variety of summer and winter activities.


It would be his utmost pleasure to help treat any of your ailments and injuries to the best of his capacities!



Stefanie rak



Registered Massage Therapist



Since 2015, Stefanie specializes in Sports Massage Therapy.

After receiving her BA in Sociology from Concordia University, Stefanie pursued her passion of becoming a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT).


She was drawn to injury recovery as a result of her background in sports, training, and coaching. She has played many competitive sports including: baseball, softball, basketball, and tennis.


Her drive and commitment allowed her to fulfill a dream of playing fastpitch softball with Team Canada at the Maccabiah Games. Her experience has led to her current position as the head coach for the Lac St. Louis Lions Girls Fastpitch team. Through the years, she has seen and experienced many different types of injuries which ignited a desire to learn more, to help herself and her teammates.


As a result, she applies passion, knowledge and first-hand experience to her work with each and every client. Stefanie’s therapeutic approach to massage is not limited to athletes; she enjoys working with all types of people and tailors her treatment to each individual. Her specialties include, but are not limited to, mobilization, deep tissue, and trigger points. Stefanie’s collaborative approach allows her to assess ailments, discomforts, and injuries in the body as a whole as she works with clients towards pain-free and more active lifestyles.



Johnie Ting



Dietitian



Johnie is a passionate Registered Dietitian, who strives to provide the best patient-centered and evidence-based care. With over 12 years of experience, he has specialized in meal planning and nutritional therapy related to health issues such as diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, weight management, gastrointestinal diseases and eating disorders.


Since graduation from McGill University in the faculty of School of Dietetics and Human Nutrition, Johnie has worked full-time as a Clinical Dietitian at the Jewish General Hospital for more than a decade. He has vast knowledge and experience on treating patients with different medical conditions, ethnicities, ages and lifestyles.


Johnie has also been a nutrition and fitness coach at the YMHA Center. He has helped numerous clients to improve their self-esteem by providing practical nutritional education. He helps clients to demystify general misconceptions on many food and diets commonly found on the Internet.


As a dedicated Registered Dietitian, Johnie continually expands his nutritional knowledge by attending both national and international conferences; such as Canadian Diabetes Association National Conference, Canadian Nutrition Society Conference, Dietitians of Canada National Conference, ASPEN (American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition), and National Kidney Foundation National Conference.



Christopher Coll



Strength and Rehabilitation Coach



Don’t let Chris’ laid-back nature fool you, if so you may miss out on an opportunity to not only be coached by a high-level athlete but also someone who has a deep-rooted passion for all things fitness.


Having worked in the fitness industry since 2013, he has helped clients of all ages and fitness levels reach their wellness goals. Chris obtained his first personal training certification with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and has amassed a series of fitness certificates and attended countless fitness seminars to further his knowledge. Additionally, Chris is a performance specialist and speed & agility coach.


He utilizes the Functional Movement Screen in his rehabilitation treatments to determine imbalances and weakness in the body, which are potential factors leading to injuries. He specializes in the foundation work of mobility and stability in order to rework and strengthen the body prior to training.


Utilizing his personal knowledge with injuries, various rehabilitation techniques, and training methods, Chris has developed into a well-rounded coach able to help any clientele.


Chris’ attention to detail, knowledge of proper biomechanics, and injury prevention strategies allows him to successfully adapt any training method to better meet the needs of his clients, thus allowing for their continual progression. Chris is truly dedicated to helping others return to their daily activities injury-free, improving their lifestyle, and making each and every client’s well-being a top priority.
