Low fat vs low carb diets

At the clinic, we always have the same question that comes up. Which diet is better: low fat or low carb.

As everyone is different and may require different needs, it's best to consult with a certified dietitian when making changes to your diet, when trying to manage diabetes, or when trying to lose weight.

A dietitian can help you ensure that you are getting the proper nutrients from your foods, which certain restrictive diets may make difficult. A dietitian can also monitor your health and weight loss journey to make sure that it is safe, efficient, and sustainable for you.

In the video below, our dietitian Johnie explains his professional opinion on these two types of diets and speaks about intermittent fasting.
